Cocoon Vocational Training Program

Cocoon is a practical and sustainable program on Food & Beverage vocational training for the underserved population including but not limited to orphans, people with disability, trafficking victims.

The program’s deliverables are measured by sets of indicators to ensure data driven decisions. From there, qualified trainees are selected and connected to employers for potential internship and job opportunities.  

Cleft lips operation

The project aims to improve quality of lives of poor children with cleft lips in central Vietnam.   Besides it also provides medical equipment as well as doctor training in the area of cleft lips surgery. It is expected that this long term project would empower children with smiles and that open a new exciting world to their lives.

Basic Education Improvement

The project aims to provide computers of which trainings on different languages, IT, cultural exchanges to be integrated in order to equip students with skills for their future.

Mental health development

Within our framework of supports, mental health development is seriously taken into account. This is strongly reflected when it comes to orphans and children with cleft lips, cleft palate, children with cancer. We hope to give them a life that a child deserve which is education and play instead of combating lives with difficulties and challenges.

Bicycle donation

The project is strongly supported by the American Ambassador to Vietnam His Excellency Mark Knapper. Given these bicycles, the orphans can drive to school themselves with ease and be able to fully focus on their schooling instead of life challenges.

Painting

As Rotarians locally and internationally, we joined hands to help the Danang Street Children Center to repaint its house which was so downgraded and moldy. After the repainting, an AC was installed for their shared studying room so that they can be able to focus on studying in hot summer.

Children with cancer

One of our most touching project so far was supporting goods and financial aid to children with cancer at the Danang Mother & Child hospital where we saw how struggling the children patients were to fight for their lives knowing that the battle would end one way or another.
